An advertising industry veteran, Helen has worked at agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi, Taxi, JWT, Ogilvy, and as Creative Director at Strawberryfrog in Amsterdam. At Ogilvy, Helen was on the original global team for the highly recognized Dove Campaign for Real Beauty and launched the initiative in Canada as well as leading campaign work in North America and Europe. Currently, Helen is the CEO and Chief Creative Officer at Havas and oversees the Canadian group in Toronto and Montreal. Prior to joining Havas, Helen took a hiatus from the agency world and worked as a Creative Strategist at Facebook. As part of a small group of Global Strategists at Facebook’s Creative Shop, Helen worked with world's largest brands and agencies to help activate their campaigns on the world’s largest social platform, as well as on Instagram.
Her work for brands including Toyota, Unilever, P&G, Novartis and American Express have received national and international awards, as well as longer content films being recognized at Film Festivals including the Toronto International Film Festival, Palm Springs and HotDocs.
Helen is has been a juror for many national and international award shows including Jury Chair for the Clios (Innovation and Integrated), One Show, Communication Arts, New York Festivals, Effies, Canadian Marketing Awards, Atomic, as well as this year’s upcoming D&AD. She is also active within the advertising and design community and is a recurring portfolio juror and speaker for the RGD of Ontario, previously a mentor at George Brown College’s Design School, speaker for women’s advocacy conferences including the 3% Conference and sits on the Board of Directors for the Advertising & Design Club of Canada.
